less front end weight = MORE understeer unless u set ur suspension up accordingly.

less weight = less download = less frontal grip = MORE understeer.

^as an addition, thats only true when mild or no braking occured, and/or he has the correct spring/shock rate RIGHT NOW with the rebar

assuming you have the same suspension after taking off the rebar, upon braking for sure there will be less grip on the front tires, but in contrast your car has less forward inertia to battle

best thing would be to test it in person , numbers and words on paper only give you an idea, unless you're going to go through insane calculations of spring rates, vehicle weight shifting, suspension vertical movement, force on tires, contact patch, etc

levin front end and no boro makes shaun a bling boy

Here's what i think, if it matters.

2 parts to the turn, before apex and after apex, or if you like slowing down, and speeding up.

With a light front, turn in will be quicker. True that you'll have less weight up front, but under braking, front end traction will be ample. Then pulling away from the corner, less weight might come into play. Maybe some wheel hop and a little "understeer" here.

Also, the car will be more balanced with less weight up front so I would vote for improved handling.

At any rate, the Borolla is turning into a Coololla.
