Things I'd like to do with the car.

Howdy, kinda new here so, but hopefully I'll be taken seriously.

I am hoping to get a couple things to make the car a little better for around town and what not. I realize it will never be a very exciting car, but I am hoping I can make it somewhat enjoyable for the next few years while I am in college.

I am hoping to get clear corners, along with upgrading the headlight bulbs to the superwhites or whatever else you guys reccomend. Would I need to replace the entire headlight, or could I do a simple bulb switch? I realize the guy in the other thread I think only replaced the bulb in his 2003, but I figured I would ask just in case.
Lastly, I am thinking of getting a cold air intake. From what I've heard the results certianly are not outstanding, but it will make it a little more agressive sounding, along with maybe some marginal gains.

If anyone knows the best companies to goto for stuff like this, please let me know on that too, as you can easily tell, I'm a real newb with this

Thanks.

whats up fletch,

i can tell u what ive learned in the past,
as far as bulbs go, u gotta be careful what ur buying. i bought those illegal "90/100watt" extra bright bulbs hoping for better visibility at night and a cool purple tint. well i put them in and they were really cool looking kinda purple like it said but the tint on the bulb made the 90watts no brighter than the stock 55watt clear bulbs, and in the rain they didnt light the ground up at all. so i went with the clear bulb Sylvania "XtraVision" which are up to 30% brighter than stock and that helped out a lot. If u got the money u can get a HID conversion kit but u said ur in college so i doubt u can afford that cuz im in college too and i cant afford jack shit.

now i drive a 99 and no one makes a cold air intake for 98-02 rollas, all they got is "ram-air" intakes which is a big hot air intake which is worse than stock cuz i tried it, but of course it sounded cool. i dont know what year yours is, u might try looking around. start at www.google.com type in whatever year corolla u got.

might i also suggest some 17s, again kinda pricey but for starters go here www.wheelmax.com good prices and free shipping, mount&balance included

i just started posting here too, its a good forum with lots people that know a lot so, u came to the right place

PJ
