If it's for you 86, check the Driver's side kick panel. The dome light requires 7.5 amps fuse.

i knew this wouldn't go away with just switching the fuse...

everytime i put in a new fuse it blows it out. I disconnected the stereo, put in a fuse, cluster lights work fine. connected the stereo, fuse blew out again. I checked and rechecked all my wires, everythings clean, taped and sealed. EXCEPT theres this one brown wire left, i dont know what it does, its not speakers not anything, it used to plug into the old deck ofcourse, anybody got a clue?

anybody know where I could get schematics online?

thanks, that site would be so useful if the board on it worked, do you know of a forum dealing srictly with car electronics?

You know a little trick that makes you look really smart, when installing a radio and looking for the speaker wires, take one wire, hold it to the pos end of a 9volt battery, and then hit other wires to the other end, when u hit the right wire the speaker will make noises, and u've found what you were looking for, and obviously if you have a tester light ground and power and that hard to find either, and that page u gave me was weird cos I dont have either of those connectors, the second one that says its 87 and newer has the right shape for my connector and everythign but the wrong colour wires...

and guess what? now my rear lights wont come on, brake lights are there but all 4 driving lights in the rear went out, got a clue? My buddy says theres some box in the back that blows out on these cars, he right or ???
