s2000 antenna on ae86?

can you do the s2000 antenna conversion on the ae86? has anyone tried? if so how you do it? i find the antenna is kinda anoying when i wash the car. its a dumb excuse to mod it tho ! hahaha

i can't remember who.. i think it was derek.. who said that he just took out his antenna completely and still got good radio reception.

I personally have no radio, and no antenna, so it's not a problem :p

i've done it on my ae92

jus replace the base with any s2000 base or VW base and the antenna srews right on

it's that easy....

oh yeah depends where the original antenna on the car is

i relocated mine to the quarterpanel

don't try to mix show car shit w/ oldschool. please leave it alone, or just take it off.

when i had my 86, i took it off, and YES, i still got good reception. well, local stations were quite clear. 93.5, 102.1 etc...

what i dont understand is that why cant the entire frame be used as a giant antenna?? its metal..and still conducts...with such huge surface area, it shold give you MAX reception !!!
