Dream Engine Setups...

What is your 'wanted but never gonna get' engine setup, or maybe your wanted and obtained engine setup?

Mine would be...

The current bottom end in my 86 corolla(its 7 rib I beleive?)

Redtop Connecting Rods and Crankshaft, with new bearings ofcourse...

4AG-ZE Pistons bought from a toyota dealership. I just read their 84AUD in australia, so that turns into 82 bux cdn, so lets just say 100nchange to be safe.

(btw, my compression would still be 8.0:1 or 8.9:1 depending on which MR2 pistons I get right? seeing how the redtop crank and rods are the same as the 4AGZE?)

with 4AGZE injectors. and a megasquirt for fuel control

Ok, so why not just get the 4AGZE?

cos the 4agze averages 1200 without ecu. and this setup comes to around hmm lets see...
500$for pistons,
200$ for bearings (not sure)
400$ for a redtop engine from the JY, cheaper if I could get exactly what I needed from someone here,
300$ for megasquirt (i hope its something around there, i dont know how much they cost)
100$ for the GZE injectors

this comes to 1500, and its all safe and brand new... And the redtop internals have oilsquirters...Is this in the rods emself? or do I have to move that pipe looking thing into my current block? (does the gze have oil squirters?)

Oh and I realize I haven't worked in other costs, such as tires, clutch, and rear end... lol, might even twist a driveshaft...hehe

Whaddaya think?

i wish someone'd trade a new 111 crank and rods for my new highcomp crank and rods..

other than that, i think i SHOULD be satisfied w/ my setup.

Why not just settle for a "measly" 4A-F

My dream setups would either be

- Twin Charged 4AGZE (4AGTZE )
- Blacktop Turbo 20V 4AGE
OR
- A nicely prepped 3SGTE
