Angry another 86 pulled over (my first ticket)

it happened this morning, I was late, there was traffic on the highway, long story short I was going 120 in a 60 zone. the cop caught me slowing down for a stop sign at a 100km/h but he knew I was going faster, he dropped the ticket to 80 so the fine is only $100 compared to $300 if wrote it for 100km/h.
I usually dont go that fast but there was a guy in geo going 50 and I had to pass him with a vengeance. he passed me while I was pulled over, he must have been laughing his ass off.
but its really dumb that those roads are posted at 60, I'm talking about #1 side rd, its a country road and theres nobody on them, It should at least be 80. everyone I know go at least 80 to a 100 on that rd.
oh well I'll propbably just pay the fine, or plead guilty on a lesser fine, you know the second option on the back of the ticket. I don't want to bother with the whole court thing, I have know case

i think the only way to lessen the fine is to take it to court and plead guilty, w/ a reduction of fine.

man, just go to court, at least u might have the chance of the cop not showing.. plus it'll delay the time that u'll have to pay for it.

take my case for instance, i got my ticket in july i think, and my court date was just this monday, nov. 17th. i walked off a free man!

You might have a case, if the pass you made was legal then its ok if you were going above the speed limit, its the only safe way to do it. The cop might not even show up.

I've heard that in the GTA the judges cannot reduce your points though.. so if you plead guilty, your fine might go down.. but your points stay the same.
