Question Corolla SR5, should i or should i not?

Hi i'm new to this board, but not to the car world, i need help from you guys. i saw this Corolla and it is for sale now, its old, i guess its 86?, but its rwd, so good for drifting lessons(or not) so i start searching some info on that model and came up with some pictures only, maybe you can give me some links or any info, that would be great, i know you guys hate newbees, me too, but hey, we all were newbees, right?

that car is like the perfect drift car if you want it to be.also search like at overboost.com, or on yahoo for a whole bunch of parts.

That's a TE72, I think. the were made from like 78ish to 83ish. Anyways, while it's not the AE86 you might be looking for, it's a very similar platform, and has a T series engine, which are known for thier torque.

BUY IT!

i believe this body type was from the 80's. does it have a round headlight or square. i think the ones with a round headlight is getting very rare. anyways, that car looks like very clean. if you have any q's about the car here's some of the links i found, i hope it helps.

i talket to the owner he sad it has rotary motor swap(12b? second gen rx7), will see it tomorrow(monday), he also said that carbs need some minor adjustments.
It has square headlights

that car is pretty sweet. goto turbocorolla.com i think there mnight be some info there.

the car prolly has a 12a rotary engine if it's carbed, cause i beleive that the sa22c gxl's 13b was efi. only the 12a is carbed (but i could be wrong)

i know a 13b puts out 140 (from a sa22c up until fc3s series 4. series 5 fc3s 13b's are 160).. so i'm guessing a 12a is about 110-120, i'm not so sure.. your best bet is to ask around on mazda boards
