95 corolla drive train question

I have a 95 Corolla with 140,000 miles. I have recently noticed a "clunk" sound when accelerating from a coast. It is like there is slop in the drive train. I've had the transaxle and CV joints checked and everything seems to be OK. Just don't want to let it go if it could tear something up. Does anyone have any ideas what this might be? Thanks.

Sounds like an automatic transmission issue. Check to see your fluid level is up in the tranny... if it is, you could have a problem.

Had it checked at a transmission shop and they said the level and fluid was OK. They drove it and couldn't find anything wrong. I don't know what all is between the transmission and the CV joints but maybe there is something there. Thanks.
