The deal with my ride!!!

Well, I don't really have much done to my engine but there are plans in the near future.

The car has a Japanese spec 4AFE because I blew my first engine. The Japenese engine is said to have a bit more horsepower than the USDM engine but I don't know that for sure, I never I never put the car on the dyno..

I have a cold air intake system, advanced the timing a bit! I relocated the battery to the trunk to be able to install the cold air intake system! NGK spark-plug wires and that's pretty much it. I also have headers, performance cat and muffler!

My goal is to have the car go psssssss when I shift and I just have to do some homework for a while before that project starts.

I don't know if you've seen my car's website.. But here it is anyways..

Psss.. like a turbo sound or something?

I have an '89 AE92 coupe.. if I didn't say so before.. USDM.. 4AF engine that's carb'd if you didn't know..

So far I've put a Weber 32/36 DGEV carb on it.. had the cams hardwelded and re-ground to a longer duration (244) by Webcamshafts and I replaced the rod bearings with new toyota bearings.. completely new exhaust from headers to muffler.. and I just put on a set of ProLine rims and UniRoyal Paw Touring HR tires.. 195/60r14's I'm more interested in the performance over looks but I try to keep an equal mix of beauty and brawn..

My next upgrade is going to be a ram air intake which is going to be directly fed from a scoop i am making off my right front quarter panel.. in a while I am going to have my cams hardwelded and re-ground again.. to like 260 or 265 something like that.. I wasn't that knowledgeable when I had it done the first time so I didn't want to go to large or something ya know..

Anyway other than that just wanna get the ports enlargened and a 3 angle valve job and light weight forged pistons and conrods..

Looks like you have done a lot of work to it man.. good job.. I take it that the sped is read large in Kilometers and the small amber is the MPH?

How were you able to get Xenon bulbs for the headlights?
Also.. Toyota sells clear lenses for the turn signals..? What else do they sell clear lenses for? I'd like to take the rear turn signals that amber color lense and make that a white lense.. Here in PA clear tail-lights won't pass.. like those euro style clear ones.. Anyway I'd like to make the whole back clear.. like that white clear color not the water clear.. and then use LED's for the lights.. So where did you get all of these Xenon bulbs from?

As soon as I get back from vacation I'm gonna take some pics of my car and get them up on the net.. I am putting the foglights in the bumber.. basically where yours are except in the bumper..

You really like that Ractive muffler huh? Sounds good? What did it cost you? I might have to go with one of them..

What about those side skirts? That molding that runs along the bottom of the doors all the way back to the tire there.. ? My '89 SR5 doesn't have that..

The white numbers are Km/h and the orange are Mph..

How were you able to get Xenon bulbs for the headlights?

You can buy after market headlight housings. BOSCH and Eurolight sells them, they fit instead of our sealed headlight housing.

Also.. Toyota sells clear lenses for the turn signals..?

The signal lenses are from a 1992 toyota Camry, if you do want to buy them make sure you tell the person at the parts counter to order the clear ones for you cause they also come in amber for that year.

As far as Altezza taillights or any kind of aftermarket tailights, no one makes them for AE92's because they're not popular tuner cars (YET). So if you do want aftermarket lights they might come up with soemthing in the future. Otherwise what most people do is red spray the rear corners to have a uniform red colour throughout the rear.

So where did you get all of these Xenon bulbs from?

Any perfomance shop sells these Xenon or hyper white bulbs, Auto-Zone, Pep boyz or whatever else you guys have there..

I did get pulled over in Virginia for having illegal side markers two days ago, but I explained to the officer that where I come from those lights are legal so he let me off with a warning.. but he also complained about the loud muffler (it's not really that loud).

As soon as I get back from vacation I'm gonna take some pics of my car and get them up on the net.. I am putting the foglights in the bumber.. basically where yours are except in the bumper..
The foglights in my bumpers come on the car fromt the factory, but they're more like driving lights because they're not that bright, so i just put Xenon bulbs in there. Although i do get hassled for having to many lights on the front of my car.

You really like that Ractive muffler huh? Sounds good? What did it cost you? I might have to go with one of them..

You have a wide varietly of mufflers to choose from. I went with the Ractive because it's oval and it suits the rear end of my car, it sounds good and I love the way it looks. This muffler cost me $180 CA, But there are many other brand names that are quieter than the muffler I have, so if you want to stay out of trouble, try to get something that has a nice deep tone to it rather than a high pitch on high RPMs..

What about those side skirts? That molding that runs along the bottom of the doors all the way back to the tire there.. ? My '89 SR5 doesn't have that..

Those sideskirts only come on the GTS, and I was lucky enough to get them off one of the guys on this board who had an accident and wanted to part out his car before it goes to the wreckers. So I got them and installed them.

I also added something you might not have noticed.. A front lip, I had to pretty much custom make it for the car. And thanks to Ren (a fellow AE92 owner) the project was comlpeted...

that front lip is what hangs down from the bumper right.. The fog lights sit in the middle of it as well as the license plate wraps down around it right?

My corolla already has that..

The only thing I need are those side skirts.. I wanted white rear turn signals.. I don't go for that amber crap anymore it's so bland and tasteless..

My muffler now isn't THAT loud really.. I just want to drop my rolla like an inch or 2.. basically Just wanna get adjustable coil-overs so I can lower it or bring it back up.

And I don't want clear tail light assembly's as they are illegal here for the inspections.. I was just asking you if anyone made the diffused clear.. Water clear lenses here won't pass inspection but I don't see why diffused clear wouldn't... with LED light assembly's.. it would show off the right colors still ya know.. I gotta ask the garage where I am gettin my car inspected

The Lip I have is not the same as the one you have.. I actually have an extra piece that comes down from the bumper, if you look closely you'll see it, no one else has it, I made it myself...

Sorry guys, that was a typo. Clearly the 1992 Camry doesn't even have rectangular signal lenses!

Thanks on the props Ahmed! it's nice to be appreciatted.

by the way punisher.. he also has a pair of very rare brazilian hamsters inside his engine compartment(the ones with the longer and more muscular legs on them, they're three times faster than your average hamster so he only needs 2 rather than a dozen) they provide 7psi of boost and about 40 hp at the wheels, and they're also responsible for that double psshhhh psshhhh sound that you always hear in blow-off-valve equipped turbo cars.
