4:30am

Well after the TN meet I got back to Barrie around 4:30am. Still very much awake I decided to try and get some pictures of some buildings for a drawing I have to do. Realizing it was too dark and being scared away from a parking lot by what looked like an angrey drunk man who wanted to kill me and steal my car I drove around till I saw a wonderful parking lot.

I decided to try and do some drifting and to test out the repair jonb I had done earlier that day... I mean yesterday. I did some doughnuts to get started. The fround was nice and wet and had some snow patches. This was perfect cuz it prevented me from making any noise. I started just by trying some feint motion and had little success. I then tried e-braking and found only failure. In the end I just wound up driving into the snow piles and florring it to get some sideways action and just tried to recover. I think I only successfully pulled off 2 drifts at the end of that with probably well over 60 failures.

The cool part was when I was near the end ether the tires or the brakes were so hot when I'd go through the snow piles they would staem.

When I got back to my place I decided to make a final try and pulled off a successful back to back drift sliding around a corner and then spun the car around and slid right in my parking space perfectly. :p

I have concluded from this that I suck at drifting and need a lot more practice. :o

Hahahha.. god many times I've slid my rolla around on rainy days on the road.. actually one night I just came to far out on a turn and hit pebbles and spun around gloriously.. stopping about a foot from a night big new curb! lol

The only time I've ever drifted in my rolla was on ice covered parking lots or when it just started to snow.. like an inch.. i went out to a parking lot and had fun.. and since it's a FWD rolla the only way I can really drift on dry surface is with the hand brake.. and well right now that doesn't lock the back wheels up.. yet I have the adjustment bolt on the handle tightened all the way down..

You're definitely right about that. I don't think it's really possible with a stock AE86 unless you have a heck lot of skill which I'm confident to say I don't. :p

Brought my car to Driftnation early this summer... mostly stock (tokico blues shocks) and it was near impossible Dammit I suck!

if he bought em from crappy tire...

your right, it aint easy to drift at all in the summer time, but the ice in parking lots such as those found at work and school make it that much more rewarding to come early... and yeah so on and so forth :p.

The only problem with the stupid snow drifting is that my front tires loose grip with any sorta speed at all...

and i suck too! i can't get it to goddamn stay in the drift... bah track is the shit anyways

Then they should design the brakes better shouldent they.

Not my fault the snow can get between the pads and the rotors.
