engine oil consumption: is this normal?

This problem has not went away I had some customers from my area call me up at home to check ou there engines and I still canot determine exactly the problem.But mostly 2001 and 2002 models have sufered this problem so the water pumps where the new versions.I hope this problem was only a bad bunch but now i dont work at the dealer so i cant tell ..
