Its the economy meter. Tells you when you should basically shift... The green one is like "ok you're not wasting much fuel" red is "Ok boy, you're gonna eat up the gas by the bucket"... kinda like a vacuum gauge, but in electronic format

almost right !
i can lift the throttle enough at 180 km/h to make the green light come on.
