Believe it or not, I've gone through hell trying to get 4 decent performance struts for my SR5 but OI haven't had any luck yet.
At the beginning it seemed really easy, I went and I ordered a set of Tokico struts and they arrived in 3 days. When I went to install them the rear ones went on no problem but the front ones didn't fit (Too long for the car?!). Guess what! The AE92 GTS has a completely different front suspension setup than the SR5 and that's to make up for the heavier engine? No I'm stuck with two Tokico rear strust and two OEM front strust!!
Anyone tried to get performance strust for an AE92 SR5 and was lucky? HELP

would the simple solution not be to swap the front suspension arms, swaybars etc. for that of the GTS.

Did you say Simple??
I think the simple solution would be putting the original springs and struts back on and selling the car..

I will..
Trust me if I think if getting rid of them, this is the first place they'd be posted at.
I also have 4 Apex springs. My rears are on the car with the Tokicos, but my fronts are sitting in a box next to my bed!!

Hello Everyone
There are parts avaliable to make it work but you are right it's not easy like a Honda or a DSM or whatever.
Go to your local junk yard and just get the front swaybar and control arms while your there get the front hubs (I think GTS brakes have bigger rotors at least the 90-91's).
I sourced all those parts and paid $100 for them.(I am sure that was the cost for just one of your struts).
I am using Eiabach springs w/ GR2's right now and even this set up is leap years better.
Go ahead and get the front strut bar too.
Then all you need is a TRD rear bar and Poly kit.
There is alot you can do but it takes effort to make your 4DR or SR5 fast.
My two cents!!
C-YA!!

Well even the stock suspension isnt bad... I was balancing on the fact to get stiffer springs or get new stock springs and shocks.. well.. I ended up getting the stiffer springs.

Ok my opinion, well.. it certainly handles differently, littlebit more sharply. Do I like it, yeah more/less, however they are STIFF, so the ride on bad roads is harsh.

Do I have 2nd thoughts, yes I do... even tho I like the stiff springs and the added handling, well I just cant drive as crazy as before. I've done jumps without bottoming out on the current suspension, heck I dont see how on earth I could get them to bottom out even if I tried they're that stiff... I think it's 5kg rear and 7kg front (if I remember correctly).

With the stock suspension, I could do jumps aswell, but on rough roads the feel was better. Needless to say, I cant drive asfast as I used to on gravel roads and if I'd want to do more rallying I'd go back to stock springs.

my 2cents

Flashmn as much as I agree with you and how annoying it is to go into a pothole now that I have the car lowered, but you gotta appreciate the ride quality on the highway or at fast speeds..
The fact that streets get really bad every year is true. A funny thing is I remember all the pothole and bumps in the streets that I drive on usually, I've memorized them all..
But I think the sacrifice was worth it, I just want an actual stiff front suspension now..

Well my car isnt that much lowered tho... Heck its as low as with my saggedy-sag stock suspension ;P

But yes, I do appreciate the stiffness, but like I said, I have had some 2nd thoughts about them...
