Keypad Keyless entry

I am pondering the thought of getting a Keypad from a Ford.. probably a junked Ford Taurus wagon.. (because we have a taurus wagon.. and I like the style keypad it has)

I plan on studying up on the keypad and then putting it on my ae92.. It should be fairly easy.. doesn't seem like it would be that complicated really, get the keypad along with any of the electronics that it needs to work.. Probably will be something like, connect a 12v source from the battery to a terminal on the keypad control chip.. and a ground of course and then cut into the power door lock motor wires in the doors and splice that to the control chip as well.. Seems simple really.. although who knows with Ford! lol... I also have the power motor trunk release so I can have that incorporated as well, since the keypad on our taurus wagon lets you pop the hatch with the keypad as well and I should be able to get the keypad code with the VIN of the vehicle it came off of.

I don't see why it wouldn't be possible.. but if anyone has light to shed on the project, please do so.

I always end up losing things like the wireless pad.. It would be much nicer having it right on the door.. one of the features I actually like about the taurus wagon we own.. Locked your keys in? Who gives a fuck.. you got the keypad.. or better yet, leave the car running and lock the doors while you go in the store real quick.. the keypad still works with the car on
