CAI in E12 Corolla

Hi,

I am an owner of Corolla E12. I've already dobe some little styling modifications to my car ( TTE ), but I haven't changed anything to gain some extra power from the engine

1.6 is bullshit. Recentlly I've noticed, that it is , very, very slow.

As a start I've decided to fix a Cool Air Intake.

But I have some doubts is it really gonna give me any extra horses ?!

The question: Is there anyone here, who has a car like me and has installed a CAI to his car ?! I would like to know is it worth installing and maybe what product would you recommend for my baby ?!

Not sure what an E12 Corolla is, we might not have gotten them here in North America, what year is it and what body style? What's the engine code?

E12, the current model, the one after yours, Chris.
But we never got the 1.6L model. Zetemte, can you give us some more details?

if it's in NZ especially, and it's the newer model, then it's a 4a-fe or 7a-fe.... they didn't get the 1zz-fe until like 2001 or 2002... not 100% sure....

'k boys and girls, it looks like it's a 3ZZ-FE in there. Since the placement of the intake manifold for the ZZ series engines are at teh front, a CAI shouldn't be hard to get fabbed up. As far as Hp goes, it's marginal, but breathers make subsequent engine mods slightly better as well.
