y'know, how your bearings, ball joints, tie rod ends, bushings and lateral links are on these old cars...seems all your tires wanna go different ways. =D

No the super hicas came on the 91-94 240sx in the U.S. and Canada. I have super hicas on my 240 and it is 4ws. Unlike the prelude which is only low speed 4ws , the 240 has active 4ws at all speeds. Its direction of steer varies upon speed and steering angle of the front wheels.
The way it works on Preludes is when you turn your steering to one side your rear wheels slightly turn to the opposite side to give you a better turn and a smaller turn angle, so in a regular car you might have to do a 3 point turn while you'll make it a a one turn if you had 4 wheel steering. So if your see a 1990-1996 Prelude ask the owner to turn the steering for you and you'll see how it works. It was actually pretty cool, I know that Toyota never intorduced that system though
