Why is my car unbalanced.. ??

I have a 1987 GTS.. and it is equipped with Tokico blues and some JDM springs.. but I have noticed the my left side is lower by at inch or so... Does this problem occur to others.. and if it does or doesn't.. can you give me some pointers of why this is happening.. The shocks are not old.. they are not dead..

I was given advice about a lateral rod.. can anyone give me more info on this.. ??

The lateral rod (or panhard bar if you're domestic) is used to center the 4 links in the rear suspension. When you lower the car, you've changed the geometry and the way that everything works together. The stock rod isn't able to keep the rear suspension centered because the angle of the suspension links relative to the body has moved higher in its arc of travel. The rod is too long for a lowered suspension and puts too much lateral stress on the suspension, moving it all slightly to the left. The solution is to either shortening the rod or geting an aftermarket piece.

how long has your car been lowered? b/c if it has just been lowered recently, then the springs still have to settle. if u are the only person in your car for the majority of the time, then there is more weight on the driver side of the car, making the springs on that side of the car settle faster...

it was has to be lowered by the pervious owner.. Some of you people know of this car.. but I don't want to declose of his name.. in respect to him.. but for those who know.. its a silver/gunmetal 2 tone GTS that had been sitting for 2 years.. and he was recently trying to sell it on this board.. and I bought it..

I am unsure of how long it was lowered for.. but the fact is that it had not been driven that much after it was lowered..

This happened to me back in the day when I had a Civic. its simple.. your fat ass is the only one in your car at all times if you never have any passangers in your car its normal for the springs on YOUR side of the car to settle down before the passanger side does.. what you need to do is put some weights or something heavy on the passanger side of your car to even out the load (big girls work just as good. ) do this for a few weeks and try to get as close to your weight as possible so that its balanced. Eventually the passanger side springs will settle down and the car will look better.
