The AFM plate. Hmm, a lot of people have been looking for them lately. I think someone mentioned a while back that Performance Improvements has them for a good price? I never ended up checking myself, since I got mine from Migs.

Try checking ebay, to see if there's any. If not, the junkyard I guess.

Hey, dont forget to box it in, or at least make a sheild to keep the radiator heat from just going on in to your intake

You can get them from old Z cars. The 280Z non turbo, I believe. They were also found on Bosch AFMs of similar sizes. Some old E36 BMWs came with them, I got mine from a Renault Fuego. If you're lucky enough to get one from the wreckers, I'd expect to pay $5 or less. Mr Sinister on this board got his for $2.

is it as simple as it looks?

a plate with 4 holes lined up with the intake bolts and a 3 inch diameter exhaust pipe with 1 inch lenght? or is there more to it so that its too hard to fabricate?

Its easy to fab if you have the tools, its just a plate with a ring welded to it.

If you cant find one you can always custom make it. Thats what I did with my GTS. Its a model, but all Toyotas have that huge mass air flow. Dont take it off and dont waste your time tring to bypass it.
