To all my ae92 heads. I got an 88 sr5 I was wondering if anyone has seen any lips. I was even considering trying to make one. I saw xenon made one. I was wondering what you used to make it and how you went about doing it. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks to all.
He used his 1987 Acura Integra lip, my 1987 Acura integra lip, put them together into on that would fit our AE92.
they have to be from an 87 integra (1st gen anyways) or they will not have the contoured corners that fit on our cars.. the 88-89 are long at the corners.
And you have to use two lips because the length of the bumper from front to rear on the sides is longer than the OEM integra lip, so you need to extend the sides and shorten the width.
Good luck, it required a lot of work and time.
And I haven't had luck finding another lip at the junky yard even though I have been there at least twice a week for the past month

Hey xenon. Why don't you get your lip molded and sell them. I know you could put me down for one. ...So I need 2 integra lips..hmmm.ever thought about finding 2 aftermarlet lips from an integra and creating something even more unique? Just a thought. thanks all.
Well, if you do buy something aftermarket for the integra it's usually a full bumper or an add-on to the bottom (not just a lip) so it won't work either way because you'll be doing too much cutting and molding and it would require you take the car to a bodyshop.
Now there's another guy here in toronto who fitted a 98 Subaru Impreza front bumper with the foglights on his AE92 and it looks ok except for some gaps and imprefections here and there..
If you only joined TN earlier I would've arranged a Baltimore or Mclean meet since I was in Mclean for 3 weeks and came back on the 10th of December. it was my first long trip with my SR5 (11hours one way) but I made it there and back alone, she didn't put me down

You guys did a good job. That lip makes the front bumper look alot better. I would buy one. So let me know if you guys are planning to sell some. Maybe you could make a mold and make them out of a polyurethane or somethin. Just a thought.
It's not worth it to make a mold for only 2 cars! Plus I don't have the time or money to take the car to a bodyshop and have them remove my front bumper and make a mold.
Anyways, here's a nice lip picture of a friend's car, unfortunately this car isn't amongst the living anymore. He got a Japanese trueno bumper and pu the same Integra lip on it, the only difference is, since his Japanese bumper is shorter on the sides, he didn't have to extend the sides on the lip.

Damn that's a pretty ass car. How hard would it be to get a bumper like that..btw..is that kouki or zenki? I havent really studied the differences. Thanks man.
That's a Zenki Bumper.. There's only one problem with that conversion, in order for your car to take the Zenki bumper you have to actually remover your rebar which is a part of the frame, because the Japanese bumper is shorter than the American standards bumper.
ut you will be decreasing the structure strength of the car.
