I'm 18... I've been insured for a year now and I was under my parents insurance for 6 months under AIG insurance company and then for the other 6 months my parents had switched to Nationwide insurance company and I was under their policy still but now that I've turned 18 I've had to get my own policy so I did a "spin-off" to my own policy under Nationwide and I have your basic insurance with 300/100 medical, full tort and I also have coverage if my car is vandalized.. fire.. flood.. or if I hit a deer or something of the sort.. It was 875 for basic and to add that extra vandalization or fire flood blah blah took it to 928

So I pay 928USD every 6 months.. and I have a clean record.. I have an '89 SR5 coupe

You can't really judge by asking people. There are so many points on how you get rated by an insurance company:
- Different policy type.
- How many years you've had a license
- Zone (Area) where you live
- Type of license

So you can call a company, give they your driver's license number and the car you plan to insure and they'll give you a quote.

Good luck

Xenon is right it's BS.. That is why I gave as much info to you as possible.. it all depends on age.. your driving record.. car.. etc.. My dad is in his upper 50's.. clean record.. and has an 88 camry and he pays dirt for good insurance..

about $90 a month full coverage on my GTS. I used to pay like $79 before it went up a few months ago.

my record is pretty clean, no accidents at fault, couple of tickets a few years back, so I'm not doing too bad.
