What trim level is it?
You may have the 1.6 litre 4a-fe or the 1.8 liter (more likely in 97) 7a-fe engine. I believe that you should be able to use any 4a series block depending on the donor vehicle. A good choice is a 4a-gze, which is factory supercharged but in america they only came in MR-2s so you would have to reconfigure it from a Mid Engine to a FWD application. The other choices are the silver top and black top 20 Valve 4a-ge, which didn't come in any North American Vehicles as far as I remember. I believe they are usually sorced from overseas AE101s.
