Urgent ABS Problem to be solved

Hi all.
I was installing an alarm in a 2001 Toyota corolla. After installation I found that the ABS and the handbrake warning light were on. I've checked all of the connections and all of the fuses below the steering column. (The car is a right hand drive). I did unplug some connectors which i then re-inserted. Can anyone please tell me the possible cause for this please.
Thanks.

Do the handbrake and brakes still work fine? I mean you can live without it and from what I've heard ABS problems are expensive to fix.

On my familys 96 Blazer I have installed a switch that cuts the flow of electricity to the ABS fuse shutting it off .

Why, because ABS doesnt work well on dirt or gravel roads. I feel that I have more control with the ABS off. I only use this switch when I need it and when I do the Brake light turns on.

So it might just be a burnt fuse

Cheers!

The lights went out a few minutes after starting the car, so i presume the computer just had to reset itself or something.
Thanks again.
