4A-F Intake?

Are there any made? Has anyone made a custom one? Was it hard. It looks like a simple enough mechanism.

No one makes custom manifolds for it. I have made a custom manifold for my quad carbs, same as Flashmn.

If you want I could work with you and fashion a custom manifold for you.

The reason it won't make a diff and actually I take that back, if you make a TRUE cold air intake one that feeds outside air in to the carb.. u'll have a diff.. but really the problem is the 4af carb it's made to be efficient.

theres an alternative solution, you have an adaptor to the carb opening by buying (i dont know if you have a surplus part for this) 4K engine or 5K engine carb adaptor.

by this, youll just remove youre stock intake housing, then pop in the carb adaptor then the end part you can now use any aftermarket intake system with tubes..

hi jet! didn't know you were surfing here too.

here's a pic of what Jet's talking about... although this one is on a carbed 2E engine...

adapter --> http://img.ranchoweb.com/images/voodooph/5kadapter.jpg

installed with tube intake --> http://img.ranchoweb.com/images/vood...ndeeengine.jpg

with this solution, we've been able to fabricate tubings that go into the hole behind the headlight, by the fender. the hole empties into a box behind the bumper which is a good place for cold air since its isolated from the engine.
