the head gasket? or the gasket for the header?

if it's the head gasket, then the head is probably warped.... and when you put a new gasket in, it doesn't seal properly

How many times have you replaced your headgasket? Are you the torque specs are correct? I also agree with toyotaspeed90, maybe the head is warped.

I'm confused . What's this rumble that you're talking about? Is it a knocking sound. Is the sound more or less noticeable when accelerating?

Can you please explain in more detail? What does your header, I assume you don't have more than one, have to do with your headgasket?

Are you blowing out white smoke? If you could, post a pic of that headgasket you has has gone out. I'd really like to get a clear understanding as to what you're talking about.

Oh christ.. learn english already.. you keep avoiding the questions here about your problem.

ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT THE HEAD GASKET, AS IN THE GASKET THAT SITS BETWEEN THE ENGINE HEAD AND THE ENGINE BLOCK, OR THE FUCKING GASKET THAT SEALS THE EXHAUST MANIFOLD (HEADER) TO THE ENGINE BLOCK?!?!?

Thanks Punisher. That's really what I wanted to say, but seeing as he was new, I cut him a little slack.

it is the head gasket that seals to the exhaust manifold to the engine block and it makes a knocking sound when i accelerate.

ok buddy boy.. that isn't the HEAD GASKET! AS I explained before the HEAD GASKET IS WHAT SEALS THE ENGINE HEAD TO THE ENGINE BLOCK!

You are just talking about your exhaust manifold gasket. get it right.. there's a HUGE difference between the two when you are trying to get help for a problem.

Yep, that would be the header gasket. What you're hearing is a typical exhaust leak that makes an annoying ticking noise.

When you swap header gaskets, make sure that the bolts are torqued to specs. You may need to re-torque them again in a couple of days.

I had that problem with the exhaust manifold/gasket on my Gen1 camry. I had to get the head gasket replaced about 4 times in 4 years. What it was was that the exhaust manifold was warped (do to some engine condition witch made it run hot) and so it never sealed right. If you just got a header to replace your exhaust manifold, perhaps the fitament is poor, or the product is defective. It probably will never be fixed unless you replace the header with something that actually fits.

Did you put the header on yourself? IF you didn't, maybe you should take it to the shop that installed it...
