weber tuning

Having some minor difficulties with a newly installed weber 32/36. It hesitates when I press the throttle, but then catches and pulls well at high rpm.
Also, it diesels (runs a few seconds after I shut off the engine). Is it running too rich? I followed the instructions for tuning, and it idles well. Send your expertise please.

*Also, about the extra emissions tubes, should I just plug them off? (they are mostly still open and unconnected now, could this be a reason for described conditions?)
thanks for the help

Oh, yes the throttle linkage is a bent and beat up version of the original. I just bent the bracket with vice-grips and hammer to bring the cable in better alignment with the linkage. Not enough though. It doesn't stick, but it's not real smooth at the foot either, which brings another question: is it normal for the accelerator to be stiffer with a weber than stock?
a dios

Hmm.. i don't know with the 3TC.. but you haven't told me any engine mods u have.. it may very well be that the jet size is to small.. but idk.. I was having a lot of problems with mine and I think it's cuz the jet size was to small and that I didn't have the tranny hydraulic downshift line adjusted tight enough on the throttle linkage.

I was having the same issues as you.. and what I did to get rid of the dieseling was I advanced the spark timing.. right now it's sitting at full advance.. 87 oct. pump gas.. and no pinging

weber tuning, stiff pedal movement

This is my first mod, rest of engine is stock. I'll try to get a picture soon. Someone on club4ag said the tubes should all be plugged except the crankcase breather hose, which needs a filter on it. I think my 3TC has two breather hoses, one on top, and one coming from DOWN BELOW.
again, anyone know about stiff pedal movement on webers? Is it normal or just my screwed up linkage?

I couldn't tell you about the stiff throttle.. I'd have to see pics of your linkage setup.

And no, all the lines do not need to be plugged..I don't know what is under the hood of your car.. so I can't tell you as I run a 4AF.. but I mean to a degree you can reconnect fair deal of emissions.. You can certainly have the EGR connected.. vacuum advance.. blah blah blah.. the weber only has a few vacuum ports on it.. but using T connections and stuff uc an reconnect a bunch of the old stuff.. It's up to you.. if you don't care just rip all of the shit out .. Like I've done to accomidate my quad Keihin carbs... Everything under my hood for the stock carb was useless.. I ripped it all out.. only thing I have is EGR and some cruise control vacuum lines and the vacuum advance
