Planning for the spring/summer, which is a world away, but i'm starting to hear some screeching in the rear. i'm hoping it just needs some regrinding or pad replacement, but i was thinking of running Brembo cross-drilled, if they are available.
any thoughts or experiences with certain brands? what are you using on your car(s) and what would you recommend for the coupe?
Thanks!

really, it's a rotor...and the rears arent even ventilated. u dont need good ones.
even for the front u can use shit rotors. as long as ur pads and calipers are up to par then ur okie dokie.
...then again i preach the ways of the boro. let's see what the rich folk have to say with this.
but i track with shit 10 dollar rotors and i havent warped a single one

The Toyota Avensis has always benefited from its sophisticated, dual-link rear suspension which offers class leading stability, ride and handling. Driving dynamics of the new range have been improved still further with European-based engineers and Japanese designers working on high speed stability, ride comfort and steering feel.
Attention has been paid to improving both active and passive safety. Anti-lock brakes, with electronic brake force distribution, are standard on all models with uprated rear disc brakes on Avensis 2.0 D-4 models.
All Avensis 2.0 D-4 models are also available with electronic vehicle stability control (VSC) which helps prevent the car skidding on slippery road surfaces. The VSC system is backed up with traction control and electronic brake assist for more effective braking.
and R3N, i'm lucky the Corolla doesn't have holes in the floor & i don't have to Flintstone brake the car yet! or else, i'd better invest in a decent pair of platform boots

I have Brembo cross-drilled n slotted rotors in the front.. and for the rear on my SR5 I did the drum-brake to disc-brake conversion.. got rid of those clunky pain in the ass to work on drums and put the GTS discs on the rear with Bendix rotors and Wearever organic pads.. For the front I have TRD pads.. I believe they are semi metalics.. I haven't tested them yet as my car is still in my garage being tweeked..
for the front, use 88-91 camry calipers adn brackets.. it offerers bigger piston and the use of larger diameter rotors. i experimented in the yards and found out. rotor choice for that setup, i do not know..
^ try to look for the same diameter rotor as camry, but must be 4x100 bolt pattern.....
Just get your self a brand new set of rebuilt calipers....that'll be lota better than Brembo and money well spent..... you sure its not the pads thats making those sound?
