one is a spot for the PCV to dump the blow by into the intake air for combustion.. another large one on the back of the filter "can" is the AS system.. air suction.. when there is a suction in the exhaust system it allows air into the cat so that any fuel that may have made it down that way can be burnt off.. As well as helping the cat in it's job.
I can't really think of anything else.. I think there is another hose that goes to the other port on the valve cover.. that allows fresh air in.. or something..

Well.. I wouldn't exactly do that.. Just make a hole into the this new retro thinger for the PCV and the other line on the valve cover.. and just leave the AS hang in the bay..

You don't want to plug your PCV.. trust me.. eventually the pressure that will build up will find a way out... most likely by popping the dipstick out.. or something..

i've been running mune for more than 3 years now with the PCV hoes plugged... no problems so far. But if you're using an adaptor that's comming from Toyota 4K engine, it already has a hole for the PCV.

Forgot to mention that the hose for the cam breather can be routed back to the intake tube or you can install a cam breather filter.

here's the adaptor from a 5K engine. it looks exactly like the one from a 4K except the hole for the PCV isn't drilled out. when installed, the hole for the PCV faces the firewall so you'll need a longer hose to connect it. Also, theres a nozzle at the side where you can route the cam breather hose. but a long tube would look unsightly in the engine bay so i just opted to put a cam breather.

irnoy: the filter tube is for a Honda EK.

i'm not sure how it is in you area. but back here in PI we get dumped with alot of japanese surplus parts. so we just hunt for the parts in the places that specialize in these. I've heard of some people here who were able to get theirs at a toyota dealership though, so it might be a good palce to start.
