Thats cuz changing a muffler wont give you HP. The middle muffler in toyotas is straight through, so once you pop the last muffler into something else than a straight through, the middle muffler wont work, because theres too little back pressure = VERY LOUD NOISE.

that's a whole debate right there, some say you need backpressure, while others say it ain't good at all.

For the cat, my old original was probably clogged, that why I felt gains. I just got my emissions test and I was a little dissapointed. I was expecting it to be super low since i got the new cat and put in a new bosch oxygen sensor, maybe high-flow cats don't do well at lowering emmisions, oh well. Better than the last one's.

I was sorta afraid to get the magnaflow because i tried flowmaster and that cheap thing was loud and ugly. The interior noise was horrible!

oh, but the magnaflow! I think i'll use them forever, i can't feel or hear much interior noise even though it's loud outside. very good for it's price range.
