AE92 or AE94?

so, in class today i was looking at my vin number..

and it says AE94

now since the chassis code for the Corolla GTS 2 door is AE92

but mine is a 4 door corolla

so
AE92 < -- 2 door
AE94 < -- 4 door



c'mon people shine some light on this!

It has nothing to do with the vins. It is what is labled on the chassis.

didn't AE92's came out with both coupe and sedan? so the 2 door would be the coupe and yours would the sedan. and i agree with VooDoo it has nothing to do with VIN. toyota prolly run out of ae92 vin nos. so you got ae94

in japan the sedan really is considered to be ae91, not ae92(according to levin/trueno bible)..

i guess over here anything that is 88-91 is considered ae92 regardless of vin. the vin does not contain the actual chassis name as voodoo has said...

how many time am i suppose to tell you this.....in Japan, AE91 are SR-5.......read the Hyper rev mags....

sorry, in my mind anything that doesnt have a 4ag motor is automatically considered to be an sr5. hence the ae91 designation :p
