hey, i know you swapped the GTS gauge cluster into your car... i'm gonna be picking up a set on friday that i already paid for (along with the GTS volt meter and oil pressure gauge cluster)...

when you swapped yours in, was the speedometer off (because the gts set goes to 150mph, sr5 goes to 110mph)..... and was the tach still correct? or did you swap other parts out as well?

also, did you swap the odomoters across or not?

I swapped as well.. the speedometer for me is dead set.. Tested thanks to radar speed screens along the road lol

The tach as far as I could tell is the same.. correct

ANd I just rolled the new odometer to match my old one.. That's all u gotta do.. don't have to swap..

i'd rather not roll it.... that's a bit illegal.... lol..... and i'm sure swapping is pretty easy... i'm gonna have to pull the clear platic off anywys (and getting the speedometer needle off won't be so bad, the black piece just comes off with a few small philips screws... i'll have 2 gauge sets so i'm not worried about breaking anything)

i'm surprised it's the same.... seeing how the cable isn't changed from tranny to cluster....

i'm gonna need the new cluster in after this weekend.... and we'll see about that "added weight" of the 4a-ge upon an sr5

wtf are you a boy scout? Listen up.. I got my gauge from an 89 or 88 GTS coupe.. All I had to do was put it right back into the spot of the old cluster.. i had to change NOTHING at all.. it works absolutely fine.. and i'm talking about rolling the odometer to what your present odometer reads. that's not illegal.. it's illegal if you roll the odometer back to a false, lower mileage. How the hell would ANYONE know if you turned the new clusters' odometer back to what your old clusters' odometer read?

Infact, instead of turning my new cluster back to what my old one read.. which was like 14,4xx.. I turned the new one back to 14,500.. just to make it simple...

I also took the door light wiring from that little display under the clock.. where the SR5 shows the oil and door light.. and i wired the door up to the gts cluster.. since it has the door light on the cluster.. and the oil light i ran to the engine light on the gts cluster.. I got rid of the little display that went in there and i'm now rigging up my LED air/fuel mixture gauge and mounting it in the old spot..
