Its Finally here! The Corolla XRS as they call it. It will have a 170hp (2ZZ) engine. 1.8L VVTl-i which is high revving. Either 4sp auto or 6sp manual is avaliable. Will also have stiffer springs, shocks, lowering by 1in stronger sterering column and tower strut base by Yamaha. And whats very good news is that it may hit the dealers in as early as MAY of 2004!!!
Yep, I just came back from my local toyota dealer and the waiting list is very long. I was VERY lucky to get a spot and you can pre-order it with watever options you would like on it. I put a $5,000 down already and ordered a Silver one with 6-speed and a TRD muffler. I will put my own mods later. Sticker is about $18,900 as my salesman told me and he is also giving me a $1,000 off the sticker so I will really be paying $17,900. Thats a fabulous deal. I will be expecting my Corolla in June sometime... I will keep u guys posted!!
Congrats man, I can't wait to drive one. Great deal too, especially since there's a list.
I'm wondering why you went with the TRD muffler though. Its just a rear section right? For a little more you could probably do a header and complete exhaust in 2.25 inch with a universal muffler, HKS, Apexi or whatever.
I just want to try out TRD for once. I want to see if it is any good but I know there are other better systems out there. I wish the 2ZZ engine was in the scion then that little thing could really go. I would of bought that instead but it isnt that powerful. I think toyota should of at least put the 1.8 corolla engine making 130 horses instead of the crappy low-power echo engine
Have you heard any news when the scion Tc will go out on sale?? I am also interested in the Scions also especially the xB but the engine is a lil' too weak for my standards
