HELP-OEM Wheel sizes 1992

Hi: Could someone please tell me what was the standard wheel size for the 1992 Corolla. A person is telling me his 92 Corolla has 14 inch oem whells. Everywhere I look and the dealers all tell me that in 92 that ALL the Corollas had 13 inch wheels and tires. Please let me know if it was possible in 92 to get oem wheels and tires that would be the exact hole paturn with the 4 holes to fit the 92 Corollas . I think that this guy is pulling my chain. Also if it does turn out to be 14 inch wheels and tires on it , in what way would it add or subtrack from the original mileage and the operating speed being recorded on the speedometer. ?? Please Help. Thanks ,Dan.

any change in tire / wheel size will effect your speedo or gas mileage........though probly not that much from stock

unless your car is a special edition or something....it has 13 inch wheels and most likely 155 / 85 / 13 tires.....i could be wrong

A 1992 Corolla has 13 inch wheels.
I believe 1991 was the last year for the GT-S coupe, but if not then those have a 14 inch wheel with a 185/60R14 tire.

The stock tire should be 175/70R13.
The base model did come with the crappy 155/80R13.

If your car came with the 175/70/13, then moving to a 185/60/14 shouldn't affect your speedo that badly because the over-all diameter is not that different...

They're either 185/60-14 or 175/65-14.

maybe he was talking about his spare tire cuz that's 14"
you said that he says he has 14" oem wheels, but could it be he upgraded to that becuz he could've easily put the GT-S wheels on or upgraded to the 93-95 14" oem alloy.
in that year, all did have 13", the LE had 13" alloy. as long as they are oem rims and an oem tire size, it would not change much if any at all.

My 92 corolla had 155/80/13 stock
the GTS had 175/65/14 stock

I have put 205/50/15 on mine with no difference in speedo reading and it handles like it is on rails

I also know a guy with 205/40/17 and coil overs and he has not had any problems either
