my home made drop vent on my ae92. the frp hoods are too damn expensive thats why.

It's a Good Thing. From what I hear those ae92 hoods can get super-hot after spirited driving.


I see you've got the wire mesh in there... you consider perhaps the black, plastic rain-gutter mesh? Not sure how you'd affix it, though.

The scoop is going to fuck things up with air flow.. it's a ton of drag...
I suppose they can get hot.. I drive mine to hell sometimes and the hood really doesn't get hot.. But anyway.. Look around and find yourself some of that black mesh.. I'm sure you can find some in aluminum or something then weld it on.. That would look a lot better.. or use some type of fastening system.

The hood of my benz gets 100x hotter than the hood of my corolla. I dont really see any purpose with a hood scoop, unless you got an intercooler directly underneath the hole. It does look kinda neat though.
