'91 Stereo Removal

Hello all,

I'm wondering if anyone has anytips for removing the factory cassette player from a 1991 Corolla Sedan. A friend of mine has purchased a new CD player and some speakers for her car, and wants me to install them. I have done privious installs on my 1997 Pontiac Grand Prin and on my 1991 SHO, but never done anything on a Corolla before. Just wondering if anyone has tips or a step by step kind of thing...

There should only be a couple of screws around the front of the console.. then the console face comes off. You will notice a couple of screws holding the radio to the back of the console, take those screws off and the radio should come out now. that's how easy it is.
