4age smallport swap completed: pictures

this is directly what i wrote on CC.... i'll try to have some exhaust pictures later:

these are before i loomed the wiring all up & made it better looking.....

bad picture, but this is supposed to be showing the fuel pressure gauge mounted to the fuel rail:

another bad picture, but this is showing placement on the fuel pressure regulator (it's the silver cylinder below the alarm siren and behind the battery with the blue hose leading to the top of it and 2 black hoses at the bottom)

yet another bad pic..... showing the wiring that was done for the distributor (we didn't cut the stock plugs on the harness)... the little box on the side of the head is the 4a-fe internal coil... we are trying to figure out how to get around having to use it (since the MSD is running the ignition)... in this pic the green sensor is the one that had to be extended...
the lower yellow wire is the reverse light wires i have yet to hook up... the upper yellow wire is the single wire that leads to a water sensor near the water pump on the 4a-ge (same sensor as on a 4a-fe, different placement)

self explanatory: the extended wires to the dizzy & area around it

and now the pictures i'm sure some of you might want (or don't) want to see... the pathetic stripped down 4a-fe...

head might be cracked, check out the hole for the #3 cylinder.... i'll check the head for cracks when i pull it next weekend... if no cracks then i will sell the COMPLETE head (even the valve cover if you want it) for $50 US + shipping O.B.O.

^^ could have happened from a bad seal on the valve cover though... it's pretty clean for the mileage it has though!!!

Next motor I run with will be a VVTI setup.. at that point I will sell my highly mod'd 4AF shit and I'll be using a completely programmable EFI system.

we could have gone with a full custom megasquirt ecu (and it's low cost) which is laptop programmable..... but we wanted the simplest swap with the best results..... and it worked out better than we expected.....

i think we're the first ones to do this (run a 4a-ge off of a 4a-fe ecu) without any other stand alone or computer systems.....

and no TPS either
