wtf

oh well i do it again
my problem is that i got a tricked out pioneer head unit with only 2 4" front speakers ( which are very shitty ) and want to put in some 6x9's in the rear but there are no mounting holes in the back of my 91 corolla any ideas?

my corolla has a rear deck thing.....the covers that im talking about used to cover the stock speakers and look....well like little square things the come up from the deck

you could always just throw a couple 6x9's in some slanted speaker boxes and put them in the back

yup yup, much better and its gonna look much cleaner if you modify the deck. cut out the holes intended for the speakers so that the magnets dont hit the supports at the back.

yes it does, because the magnets of speakers bought in the market are bigger than the factory ones, and the factory speaker mounts are just 5 1/4 inches (i think), thats why if you want to put bigger speakers such as the 6x9's, you should cut even the metal sheet under the rear deck, then modify the deck or replace it with mdf then cover with carpet or leather or whatever it is that you prefer to be the finish of the deck.
