Corolla 91' Problem

Hi,

I have a corolla 91' automatic trans with about 140 k miles on it. The car rattles and almost stalls when the car is not running but is in gear for e.g at a signal light. It also is slow to pick up after that, almost feels like the car isnt getting enough feul. The problem escalates when the car is warm or the weather is warm. I got it tuned up and that took care of 70% of the problem i.e. it now only does it a few times as opposed to all the time. Any idea what the problem might be?

is it carbed or fuel injected?

if its carbed........sounds like the fuel mixture is too lean
try richening it

Its fuel injected...

get ur injectors cleaned that may help give it a service maybe some new sprak plugs and a oil change and see how it goes then

Also you may have a crack in your intake hose that closes when you accelerate because the engine tilts. That's what made my '84 Camry (fuel injected A/T) stall at lights.
