Super charging 20V

Would it be possible to transfer the superchargers in 4agze onto silvertops?

What kind of pwallet damage are we looking at to convert? (minus the engine, supercharger system)

You would have to change your pistons to lower compression ratio and probably run aftermarket ecu. It would take some custom fabrication mate to the ITB's. The factory supercharger isn't really a good match for the 20v motors because of their RPM potential. You would probably kill the supercharger if you revved it to 8000rpm. Try a turbo or nitrous.

my 16v only goes to 7700.... that's where my 4a-fe ecu tells the 4a-ge to stop

um, have you ever seen the pulley side of a 4a-gze? you would need a LOT of custom work done.... IMO it isn't worth it... and the silvertop is rated to go to 8,000 from factory, i believe

I've got an ae92 with an ae111 blacktop 20V in it, and another ae92 with a MAP 4agze in it... the 20V isn't worth wasting your time on. The GZE walks all over the 20V, and the 20V revcut's at about 8300rpm from factory.

why not try a centerficial (or somthing like that) supercharger. It is most defenitly a high rpm supercharger. Exp. vortech or somthing like that. Has to be universal and have custom brackets to mount. it should give you a nice power figure smooth. But then again the cost is way up there. somthing like 2000 dollars for just the supercharger. just thought i might throw that in. So it seems turbo would be the cheapest and powerful route.

SUPERCHARGER

Bro,
I've been thinking about that for a long time already. It's got to be an aftermarket supercharger like Vortech or Sebring. Cause i guess if they can do it to the civic B16 with 10 plus comp. they can do it too with the 20V. The brackets and manifold modificationwill also be an issue. And you have to have a prog. eng management to do this project. I have a Starlet with 20V /SDS that I use for autocross and I know there is a place here in Toronto that does supercharging. I guess its back to the question how much money we have. But that will really be a very interesting project for all HP addicts. And also my eng. revs up to 9000 rpm no problem. All I want is 230 hp!

You're using an FE ecu to run a GE engine? How?

I know that, but the ecu's use different signals from the dizzy and to the injectors. I'm just wondering how he wired it to make it work.

well I know a guy that can tig weld and makes turbo mainfolds. The pipes are steanless or cast iorn if you want. It is all equal length. Seriously this guy knows what he is doing. He usally makes the manifold and macthes it up to a turbo fitting that of the engines exaust outlet charateristics. He carges about 700 dollars for the mainfold + a turbo. A lot of honda guys go to him. He orders parts from turbonectics. Why not just try turbo. And put a hood scoop on your car backwards for positive air pressure in your engine bay for cooling. I know turbo's are heat machines but are they that bad for Hard autocrossing.

p.s. Ethier my 16v is so tired or is just weak stock. I lost to a 1996 hacthback DX. but on fouth gear i was chachthing up. I was laughing to myself. Wow so this is what it's like to be touqeless. Note this was done when no one was around at about 2 am in the morning. I know street draging is stupid but it was him and me only we are cousins.

Luck bastards....... 4A....... how i wish i could afford that.
I got the 4E-FTE and i barely can afford that. Here petrol is sky high, everyone called me crazy for buying another petrol engine, but fuckem, if i can afford it, it is worth the cash for the plessure of reving up in a street race. Well, at least a 4E-FTE is better then a diesel and most shity cars

you guys serious you can rev to 8,000 rpm. So far i have been only reving to 7,000 rpm. But im wondering if you could rev that high safely. Im just scared that a shim might pop out. But than again what is there to gain form reving to 8k when the power band of the large port falls at 6,600 rpm. Just wondering if it can really.
