well, if it does have it, just cut the spd wire to the ecu, it is coming from the combination meter. I am not sure if this is a good idea. But on the 4E-FTE that is what people do to eliminate the 180km/h limit. mine doesn't have the SPD connected, but because my combination meter lacks the spd output, but i went to buy a comb. meter that has the electronic unit (to convert the mechanical cable's revs into a digital speed signal of 4 pulses per rpm), but not sure if this will only put on a speed limit.

Would cutting the spd wire work on the 7afe AE102?

That will probably work but it will disable your spedometer

try and find the speed sensor wire that goes into the harness to the ecu....just remove it. i did that in my EF.

anyways my '90 rolla didnt have a speed limiter either...i find it odd that u have one...are u sure? i went over 200 on several occasions (trying to follow the driving of mad man redrum )

no it won't...... the speedometer in earlier corolla's is run off a spinning cable that's linked directly to the tranny.... trust me, mine broke once & i had no speedometer for about 200 miles

as far as i know, all ae92's don't have speedlimters..... they do have rev limiters though

Have you thought that maybe the car is the one that just can't go faster??? I know my car doesn't have one, I've taken mine to 205km/h.

it hits 113ish, and won't go faster, but I know it isn't the rev limiter, because I'm only at about 4000 rpm in 5th (5600 rpm in 4th)
