01 Rolla 10th most stollen vehicle

Sorry id this is a repost but I read this on CNN Money News today and thought it interesting...

"The 1989 Toyota Camry was the most stolen car during the year 2002, according to a new study released Friday by National Insurance Crime Bureau. The 1994 Honda Accord was the second most-commonly stolen car. The 2000 Honda Civic came in third.

"These vehicles are most often taken for their parts which are no longer manufactured and are too difficult or expensive to obtain," said Robert M. Bryant, president and chief executive officer of NICB. "The individual car components are in high demand with 'tuners' or street racers."

It's funny because here in Europe Japanese cars get never stolen, get a Toyota and be sure you'll never get it stolen. I was thinking Toyota's were difficult to steal but it appears they are not. Most stolen cars over here are Volkswagen / audi

I could have told you that one myself!!! Someone or somewhere told me this in the past, it's always been the car to steal because alot of people have those cars as beaters and such. They fuckin run forever it seems.

When my former 1984 Camry was new it was the most stolen car in Boston. Any 1984 Camry key will work in any other 1984 Camry! And I know because I almost accidentally drove away in someone else's car!
