93 Corolla Suspension question

this is pretty much for anyone who has a 93-97...i'm gonna do the suspension next. what do i need to buy? obviously springs, but what else?

and is anyone aware of a decent set of springs that will only lower the car maybe 1" in front and 1/2" in the back? if i lower the car too much it'll bottom out when i pull in the driveway.

You should upgrade springs and shocks at the same time.

I found a nice sale on Vogtland springs and Koni shocks. I posted on the Camry forum, but just incase you can't find it, here it is again.

Sale

There are no springs with that little of a drop available for your car. The least I know of is Eibachs (or TRD, same dif) which will lower the car 1.2 inches. Remember, with stiffer shocks even though the car is lower, it moves less when the springs are compressed. People often use KYB GR-2 shocks on the Corolla and another, even stiffer (more expensive) shock is the Tociko HP.

The only option to acheive such a minimal drop of less than an inch is to use coil-overs which are adjustable from 0-4" drop....

Shop around here: www.vpower.net and also check out the other parts links in the Corolla Sticky.

Keep in mind that the stock springs, especially the rears, have a tendency to sag over time. This means that 1¼" lowering springs may in fact give you the drop you're after. Many actually advertise a ¾"-1¼" drop, which will depend upon the condition of your springs... My TTEs, which had about that much lowering, only dropped the amount you're after over my stock springs.

I'd say do about 1.5 inch drop.. it doesn't look too bad and it doesn't create any alignment problems for ya.
