Legal Ride Height

I was just wondering what is the legal ride height on the streets.
How does one measure the ride height?
Do you guys got any official (gov) website that explicitly says so?

ok i guess no one knows the question on the legal ride height.
how about the other question.

on how to measure a ride height?
better yet...
how does cops, when they pull you over, measure your ride height?

i bet somebody had been pulled over before and a cop measured their ride.

call the highway patrol to find the ride height, and they measure your height by placing a block under the car if it won't fit under your too low

i THINK it's a minimum of 22 inches from the CENTER of your headlight to the ground....

but dont quote me on that...

here in ohio, i believe it's 24 inches from the headlight to the ground, and something lke 48 inches from teh roof to the ground, not too sure about that though.

i've read taht elsewhere, teh body cannot be any lower than teh bottom of the rim, but i don't think that's the official way to measure it.

With a lot of searching I finally found the facts.

I found a PDF for almost every state at the American Association of Motor Vehicle Administrators. Here

according to the california law 24008 your height cant be lower than your rims.

So that probably means that if you got low profile rims/tires you can go lower. I think......
Anybody want to correct me on that?

i guess 02RSX90camry was right after all..
