why cracked exh. manifolds.

anyone know why do so many 90 corolla,s get a crack in exhaust manifold?

It could be because they're so low in front that when water splashes on them at operating temp, they fracture. Just a guess.

Happened to me too. 4AFE SUCKS ASS!! Did yours crack in the middle??? Swap in a "G" headed motor or buy my aftermarket manifold. Bought it off EBAY for like $75 shipped about 4 months ago, sell for $35 plus shipping

thats what happens...... what really happens is......i dunno if i should really type this but, when some mechanics do oil change on them, to get to the oil filtern they either hafto burn their wrist, or pour water before working on them....... its true

I've replaces a cracked and warped exhaust mainfold in my 86 Corolla GT-S. I think this kinda thing happens wiht age.

on a recall web site i noticed alot of 90 corolla,s complaining of cracked ex manifolds back in 1994 and ,95. so it ain,t just age.
