Question Who'd win?

01 Corolla LE (125hp, 125 Torque) vs. 95 Accord LX Coupe( 130hp, 139 Torque)

My friend is all messin around and we wanna race for fun, i'm thinking my corolla can take him, but don't know fo sho. The only mods he has are: AEM Cold Air Intake, and A4 Racing Muffler (dunno wtf kind of muffler this is).. these mods came with his car. So what do you guys think? Its gonna be from a stop, i'm gonna brake launch it, and so is he. Both cars automatic.

Horsepower and torque aren't all you need to take into consideration.

Hp:Weight ratio is very important.

Curb WEight is 2525 lbs compared to his 2800 lbs, though some people from the hhu forums are saying that his accord will win...

corolla! I use to have a 96 accord and my friend has a '01 corolla. I kept up to him till second gear but then the gap kept increasing.... he won. We use to race all the time.... his accord was always a little quicker. The thing is, I didn't have any cold air intake in my accord. Not like that makes a huge amount of difference anyway.

I'm not really inclined to street racing at all but I may try it once with him, just b/c he's so convinced his accord would win.

Corolla!

I have beat a few cars with my 00 Corolla, of course mine is standard and I found I have to keep the rmp above 3000, usually I run it close to red line before switching gears.

Unfortunately or maybe fortunately the car detects when I hit red line and shuts the engine down

Also find time of year effects performance for me really cold or really hot forget it the car just doesn't seem to have any power but a 5 to 10 degree day I find optimal for the car's output.
