I'm looking for a wreck to take an engine out of and put into my AE82. I assume the best car to get would be an FX-16, but those are pretty rare on the East Coast, so I was thinking MR2, since those are very common, and the engine is transverse mount, like the 82. I don't know if I might run into any problems since the MR2 is a rear mounted engine. I really want to avoid having to make any special parts.
I heard that there are chevy novas with 4ag's, is this true? I've seen plenty of novas around, and more of them end up in the junkyard than toyotas, considering they aren't built as well.
Anyway, any suggestions would be appreciated. I'm toying with the Idea of the high-comp 4AG with the TVIS head from the low-comp model. I heard that this is a low cost high performance option, but I don't know what's involved in this operation. I still want the car to be very reliable for +10,000 miles a year.
Thank you,
Kris
