How gutless is your Corolla?

Would the fact that the air filter and plugs are totally gone be robbing me of alot of horsepower? I'm hoping when I get around to doing it the car will actually move. The way it is now I have to constantly give it WOT when I want it to go. 88 DX sedan 4-AF

Mine can't even speed. The joys of a stock 4af . You could play with the throttle/transmission kickdown cables to wake it up a bit. Won't make it any faster, but you'll be a bit less likely to fall asleep behind the wheel due to boredom!

I haven't had my corolla out yet unfortunately. drove it home the night I got it.. On dirt roads.. in the pouring rain late at night and I didn't have my glasses on.. the wipers didn't work..

So needless to say... I never got out of 2nd gear

When I first got my Corolla it could only reach a top speed of 113 km/h. Now it can go to 175 km/h no problem and can go higher but I decided to slow down cuz I don't want a ticket.

When my rolla was in stock condition I was able to pull a 115mph fairly easy. That was really the top.

Heh.. Now I drive it like a 4AGE.. The other day I was on the highway and wanted to break out from the tractor trailers and I was doig near 80.. I slap sticked it into second.. tach hit 7,300RPM in a split second and I was gone.

Oh and I drove the fuck out of it the other night.. (4AF w/ Quad carbs) and I got 6mpg... Yes, 6mpg!! lol. Ahhh I gotta pull that 4AF and drop my new 7AFE in, that thing will be wicked fast.
Talkin about tickets.. I live about 20 minutes west of NJ.. and I was going into Jersey with my gf for a concert.. I got about 10 minutes into jersey and like a moron I was speeding.. doing 86 in a 65 in my moms taurus wagon! lol.. well, fuckin cop was sittin behind some brush and got me Oh well.. That's gonna be a nice 200 or so ticket.

And I have lights in those same spots inside the car too.. Except they are blue cold cathodes.. I also have 2 white cathodes in the trunk so when I pop the trunk I have light! and I still have 2 more white cathodes I think I will put under the seats to kinda light the back up.

Wow aren't we all just a bunch of ricers with our neons...

I don't have any money, yet I can't just leave my car alone - what's your excuse?

btw I'm rockin 2 9" under the dash and 2 12" up in the head liner. The whole interior glows blue at night and the bulbs aren't noticable. Kinda cool. Sometimes I even turn 'em on when I'm vacuuming it out haha.
