92 Corolla Check Engine and Brake Light Help

I've searched through the forums and couldn't find a post to this problem.

Occasionally, more often now, both the check engine light and brake light comes on for a while then turns off. Anyone knows what's the deal with this?

It's been going on for a while now and can't tell anything else that's wrong with the car. And I'm sure the handbrake is off, it just flicks on and then goes off together with the check engine light.

Mechanic couldn't find anything wrong and so hoping you guys could shed some light on this.

Well if a mechanic checked it out he should have checked this...

But ususally the brake light comming on means your brake fluid is low. Check all of your fluids (brake fluid, oil, power steering) and top them off if needed.
