Is your engine sick?

If you pull your head and the valves look like this.. you have some major piston ring issues.. Just look at the blow-by I was getting from simply hand cranking the engine.. If you save the pictures u can open them up in Photoshop or whatever and zoom in and get a better look.. Damn 4A-F still pulled strong.. even tho 2 of the cylinders had MAJOR blow-by .. I was hand cranking it just watching oil sit as the pistons went up n down.. Yikes.. and only 3 of the exhaust valves look "good".. all the other valves are fucked up with all that oil residue.. This would explain my un-curable back-fire issue when I was at idle.. even tho carbs were running lean.. Can only imagine how fast car would've been if engine was healthy! Oh well, 7AFE will be all that and a bag of chips *snap*

err maybe u just -thought- it was fast...no doubt a 7afe will make ur car fly...but that 4af having such low compression must've been pretty bad.

honestly...my 4ag lost compression on only 1 cylinder and it stucked balls...put down 96hp at the wheels.

No.. I don't mean fast in top speed.. that was a joke.. it wasn't bad though.. it still pulled acceleration hard tho.. I couldn't imagine how nice it would've been if the engine was healthy.. I ran the intake cam advanced 1 tooth and that boosts the acceleration a lot.. kinda robs you of top speed tho too.

Anyway.. I did a comp check and got 160-180 across the engine.. but when I did wet test.. roflmao.. one cylinder hit 240!! lol
