BZ Touring Brakes

Does anyone know if the BZ Touring rear disc brakes will work on the L Touring 4wd? Assuming the same year on both vehicles....

I'm thinking of upgrading the brakes on the L Touring to the discs ...but I'd like to know for sure they'll work before I purchase.

Thanks

That is a very difficult question... if you had an AE100 (2WD) instead of the 4WD AE104, I would say yes, it most definitely would fit, but since it's 4WD, there may be differences there. If you can get it cheaply enough, then I would say go for it and if it doesn't work out, you can always turn around and sell the brakes, as they're quite a commodity. I, personally would recommend the rear disk swap, as I have done it on my AE102.

I have the AE104 4wd. Isnt the BZ a 4wd drive as well?... I figured it was and since it has rear discs, I was hoping the rear velocity joints in both types of vehicles were the same size...

There is a Front wheel drive AND a 4 wheel drive version of the BZ Touring. The body is identical to the L Touring, but thats about it. I haven't been able to compare parts with one first hand.
