messed up wiring

ive been posting a bunch about the wiring in my car. i have figured out that it is messed up some how. here is some of the crap it is doing.

The Clock that goes above the CD player in my car stays on all the time, even when the car is off. If you unplug the defroster switch and plug it back in the little light on the switch will work behind it but if you turn on the defroster the light turn off and stay off until you unplug it again. The CD player i installed in it stays on after you turn off the car so you have to turn it off. when i bought the car it didnt have stock speakers so im guessing somebody messed with the wiring. so anyone ever had problems like this or any ideas?

The head unit is probably plugged in to a constant-on 12v line instead of the appropriate keyed line. The clock may have the same issue, or it may be related to the head unit issue.. the wiring is so interconnected that you may be having an issue with the head unit completing a circuit down its ground wire and incidentally turning on the clock in the process.

Really don't know what to tell you about the defrost light.
